At Heartingle ("we", "our", or "us"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our service.
We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:
We also record how you first found Heartingle: the campaign tag on the link you arrived from (for example "utm_source=tiktok") or the name of the referring website, plus the first page you visited. This is kept in a first-party cookie for up to 90 days and attached to your account if you sign up. We use it only to understand which channels bring people to Heartingle, never for advertising profiles, and we don't use third-party tracking cookies.
For each AI request we record which feature was used and how much processing it took, so we can track our costs. This record never includes your message content.
We use your information to:
Messages you submit to decode, and messages you ask us to help you reply to, are sent to OpenAI's API to generate insights and suggestions. Per OpenAI's API data policy, this content is not used to train their models.
We save the messages you submit, together with the analyses and replies we generate, to your History so you can come back to them. You can delete any item, or your entire history, from the History page at any time.
Photos you submit for a profile review are resized and stripped of metadata (such as location) on our servers, sent to OpenAI's API for that review only, and never saved by Heartingle. We keep the written review and your bio text so you can revisit them in your history.
Screenshots you attach to feedback are stripped of metadata, stored privately, and seen only by the Heartingle team to act on your feedback. They are deleted along with your account.
Messages, analyses, replies, and profile reviews stay in your History until you delete them or delete your account. When you delete an item, its content is erased permanently; we keep only an empty record of when it was created so that monthly plan limits stay accurate. Photos submitted for profile reviews are never stored.
Your account information is retained as long as you maintain an active account with us. Deleting your account permanently deletes your account information, your history, and any feedback you sent, including screenshots.
We keep records of purchases (plan, amount, date, and the payment processor's transaction reference) after an account is deleted, as required for accounting and tax purposes. They are no longer linked to your name or email. We also keep an anonymous record that an account existed, with the channel it came from, so our signup statistics stay accurate.
If you write a review, we store your rating, text, the name you choose to show, and an optional photo. If you tick the box allowing us to feature it, and we approve it, we may show the review with that name and photo on our website. Reviews without that permission are only read by our team.
Reviews from people who received free access (for example, beta testers) are always shown with a note saying so. You can edit or delete your review at any time on the review page; deleting it removes it from our website and erases its photo. Deleting your account deletes your review too.

All sales are final and we do not offer refunds. Every new account starts with a free trial so you can evaluate our service before buying a plan. Plans are one-time purchases that do not renew automatically.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
